1999 17hh Bay Registered Irish Draught Mare

“Deedee” is a 1999, 17H bay, RID mare bred at Oak Hill Farm. Deedee is the first RID mare bred at Oak Hill Farm to have a foal at Oak Hill Farm. She has exceptional, smooth gates and turns heads wherever she goes.  We made a dream come true by giving Deedee to her biggest fan, Dana at Epona Irish Draughts.  Dana is breeding spectacular horses with Deedee!

Performance/Show Record:

•  Reserve Champion Purebred Foal at the 1999 IDHS(NA) National Show.
• 1st Purebred Yearling, Reserve Champion North American Bred Horse, Reserve Champion Youngstock and the Reserve Champion Purebred Female. She finished third in line for the Supreme In Hand Show Champion.
• Champion Purebred Female, Champion Purebred In Hand, Champion North American Bred, and the Supreme Show Champion at the 2003 IDHS(NA) National Show.
• 2nd Training level dressage, 2003 Branstoke Farm Show
• Champion Purebred at the 2005 IDHS(NA) Southeast Region Show

• 2004 colt, Bridon Emerald Glen, by Glenlara was sold immediately after birth as a stallion prospect.
• 2005 filly, Bridon Glenlaurel, by Glenlara was the 2nd place purebred filly at the IDHS(NA) Southeast Region Show
  

 

Pedigree Notes

Deedee is by Mountain Pearl out of Knockconan by Rakish Paddy. Knockconan was the full sister to Di Lady. Deedee has the performance lines of Flagmount Diamond, Rakish Paddy,and Milestone. Her sire side has produced numerous show Champions like Pearls for Diana and Enniskeane Flash. Mountain View produced Carrabawn View who has produced quite a few successful performance horses. Deedee goes back to the four RID foundation sires.
