1994 16.2hh Grey Registered Irish Draught Mare

“Big Lou” is a 1994, 16.2H, grey, RID mare. She was awarded "Quality Broodmare" status in Ireland, an honor only given to mares with exceptional bloodlines and conformation. She is a solid built mare with very correct limbs. She is an exceptional mover with floating, light paces, certainly not how you would think a mare of this size would move-all her foals inherit her movement.  Di Lady was given to Abbymore Irish Draughts to combine with their wonderful stallion, Moorpark Image.  She will be missed.

Performance/Show Record:

• 1st place at the Warrenton Show in 2002.
• 1st place Purebred Mare 8 and up at the 2003 IDHS(NA) National Show.
• 2nd Produce of Dam at the 2003 IDHS(NA) National Show.
• 2003 IDHS(NA) Year End Achievement Award- Purebred Mare

• 1998 RID mare, Pearls for Diana by Mountain Pearl. Winner of the1998 and 1999 Best Purebred Female at the IDHS(NA) National Shows.
• 2001 RID mare, Bridon Lady Luck by It’s the luck of the Irish, was second in the 2 year old mare class at the 2003 IDHS(NA) National Show.
• 2003 colt, Bridon Glenlord by Glenlara, was the IDHS(NA) National Foal Champion in 2003. Also first at the Upperville Show. Sold to Texas as a stallion prospect.
• 2004 colt, Bridon Glenavy by Glenlara, sold to Canada as a stallion prospect.
